There Is No Spoon: Understanding Is The Only Way To Shape Reality

The Master opened his laptop, and as he had done for the past 9 years, he started writing his log. A magnificent piece of art that can only be equal to life itself. This is what he wrote on that day.

Day 3,643.

Place: Hotel room. Osaka, Japan.

Reason for visit: A client wanted advice. Our sessions have become recurrent and fruitful in his eyes. Nobody is more surprised than myself.

4 am, I’ll always say is the best time of the day to clear the mind. It’s all quiet. There is just the sound of life.

This log has seen me started a journey I thought impossible since day 1. The perfect topic for my client since he wants to know the secret to shape reality as he pleases. To stop being a passenger of life, and to be the pilot.

Everything starts with a question. Everything starts with true curiosity.

Is it possible to shape reality as one pleases? Can we change our circumstances exactly the way we want?

I used to ask these questions to myself.

“There must be a way” I used to repeat over and over in my mind.

Now I know there is. I’ve done it.

I did so many experiments. So many attempts. Iteration and iterations.

One has to understand were one wants to go first. This is not easy. It seems like it, but so many have got lost in the process. To define what one wants is like entering a candy shop. You seem to want everything. And when you focus on one, the color of the next one distracts you, and you have a new favorite. This will continue as long as you keep seeking outwards, to the world.

It is only when you dare to explore your own mind, that the What takes shape.

We’re taught to pursue things, period. Not to explore where we are at the moment. One can only go to a place from where one is in the present. Understanding this is imperative.

What is the truth about shaping reality?

The truth is… it is not possible. Not in a direct way.

What does this mean?

It means there is no spoon.

This is a concept I saw in a movie once. In my past life.

I didn’t get it the first time I saw it. Nor the second one, or the third one, or the fourth one.

I got it later in my life. Turns out the movie got it right. All the answers were there, but I wasn’t ready to see them.

You can’t bend a spoon. You can’t bend reality as you please.

That’s impossible.

But if you find the truth. You see it is not the spoon that bends, it is yourself.

This needs a mind that rejects conventions and beliefs. A free mind.

Who’s mind is free in this world? Who’s mind is empty?

We’re all domesticated by the world. The system breeds slaves. Minds full of garbage.

This is the first obstacle. If the disposition is not there to begin with, it is impossible to free a mind from that conditioning.

In the movie, the spoon doesn’t exist. Nothing exist in that reality. That is the truth.

There is no better analogy to the virus of Doings. There is nothing that can be done effectively through a doing. Forcing the universe to change is not going to work. Forcing yourself to do something just because is supposed to work, is inefficient. Our power as humans doesn’t work that way.

But is only when we realize the Truth of the matter, that we change ourselves. It is in that moment that we bent ourselves. That’s when we bend the spoon.

That’s when reality is shaped to our will.

There is no spoon.

There is a very cryptic way in which Masters speak. This is completely intentional. The dots have to be connected by the Student. And the dots have to be miles apart in order to give freedom to the Student.

Because I can’t bend the spoon. I can’t make someone understand. I can’t make someone see the reality as I see it. And this is the truth.

My client awaits.

The reality I’ve created for myself awaits.

There is no spoon.

Free Your Mind.
